Cooper came from a shelter in Indiana. He tested positive for heartworm and needed someone to rescue him so he could make it out of the shelter. He went through a successful course of treatment and was adopted. Unfortunately, Cooper's adoptive family recently contacted us. They had an unfortunate and unexpected move and sadly, are no longer able to keep Cooper.

Cooper is a loving, gentle boy. He is now about 6 years old. He still loves to run around and play. He really loves squeaky tennis balls and in typical beagle fashion, will take on any dog to make sure he keeps that ball in his possession.

He is good with other dogs and it would be great for him to have a buddy, because he seems to get very sad and perhaps a little scared when left alone. He always wants to head out the door whenever he knows we are leaving :-(

He is housebroken and is not crated when we leave, because he has furry brothers and sisters to keep him company.

He is good with kids of all ages and loves to roll over for belly rubs!
